By the exciting climax, billions of lives will be at stake, and the only ones who can save the day are a ragtag group of misfits: one assassin, one adventurer, two bounty hunters and a warrior. For Gunn, for the Guardians themselves, and maybe even for Marvel in their current state, and it's a fitting "send-off" for all three, standing out as one of the best MCU offerings of late and a reminder of just what the universe is capable of when it puts its characters above the seemingly perpetual sense of heading for the ' endgame'. As a huge Quentin Tarantino fan, I’ve been spoiled by how amazing his hand-picked songs add to the feeling of scenes. When Quill’s Mom dies, the boy bolts out of the hospital where, impossibly, a spaceship appears and abducts him.

The Orgocorp scenes are probably the highlight of the whole transfer with a lot of good bright colors on space suits and the whole world being vivid. My three year old son loves Rocket and Groot and asks me to rewind the commercials when he see them on TV. All are captured by Xandar’s military police known as the Nova Corp and for past crimes are sent to the Kyln, a maximum security prison that floats in space.To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer.

Its centered around Rocket Raccoon, but everyone from Peter Quill to Mantis to Kraglin takes that journey. There were funny parts, in The Avengers especially with The Hulk punching Thor and slamming Loki, but nothing to the levels of intelligent humor in Guardians of the Galaxy. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. It has great characters, dialogue, action, visuals, soundtrack, and most importantly, tons of humor. Dialogue is well prioritised, as you'd only expect, however almost right from the outset there's a wonderful sense of direction to the immersive mix, which uses the channels superbly to rationalise the elements.

The summer kick off movie was James Gunn’s swan song before he takes the helm of the DC universe and marks the end of an era for the MCU. That being said, 'Guardians' sounds fantastic on Blu-ray, boasting an engaging, reference quality surround experience. They discover a war-torn world ruled by a ruthless dictator who possesses a devastating weapon capable of destroying entire galaxies. This was one of, count ’em, four Marvel movies that came out in 2014 ( Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are the others) so to say that the bar was set high is an understatement.

From the opening title sequence, the movie instantly kicks the humor in overdrive as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord dances like Michael Jackson to the tune of “Come and get Your Love” by Redbone in a temple extremely reminiscent to the one from the beginning scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The movie comes in a two disc Blu-ray version as well as a 3D version, though the supplements on both are identical.I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with last year’s Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, but my opinion quickly shifted when Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released earlier this year as it became my favorite standalone Marvel movie, even over the original Iron Man.

No matter of this space opera, the rest of us can just sit back and enjoy the ride, as the film ricochets from one dazzling, frazzling action set-piece to the next, pausing only to charm our socks off with another pithy retort, classic bubble-gum-pop hit or cutely random alien character. The expanded ratio isn't left to solely action sequences, providing some utterly stunning scenes rich in detail and nuance.As someone who read comics as a kid, I didn’t think that some of these heroes would be the main focus of feature-length films when I was 40 years old.
